GRTL Exposes Dangerous Abortion Facilities

Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) conducted a news conference on Tuesday, October 22 to raise the question:  “Is Georgia attracting another Kermit Gosnell?"

The press conference highlighted how the lack of regulatory oversight and confusing regulations has created dangerous conditions for women seeking an abortion, while also attracting disgraced abortion providers run out of other states.

Sadly, as of the writing of this article, there has been  extremely limited media coverage of the event.

“It’s just another example of how the main stream media refuses to expose the truth about the abortion industry,” said GRTL President Dan Becker. “And it was that kind of denial that allowed Gosnell to operate his house of horrors for so long.”

Despite histories of documented malpractice, death, road rage assault on a woman, arrests, infections caused by unclean surgical instruments, inflicting nonsurgical injuries on patients and staff, and alleged Medicaid fraud, Georgia’s abortion providers continue to thrive.

The entire focus appears to be profit and speed, with at least 80 abortions performed daily—approximately 3 per hour—in the state. One facility in North Atlanta performs an average of 6 abortions an hour in a facility that has been repeatedly found to be in violation of minimum regulatory standards.

GRTL has created a special webpage that contains a 10-page summary of a 628 page report. The summary has footnotes indicating which page in the full report contains the documentation.   Just right click on the link and save to your computer as “opening and viewing.”  It may take some time to complete the download.

GRTL doesn’t want this issue to be ignored. Please contact us if you know of any instances where a woman was injured or received less than acceptable care.
