GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE has four internal financial funds. Following is a brief explanation, stating their purpose and how they benefit you.
1. GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE COMMITTEE, INC. (GRTL)
This is the original organization founded in 1971 and handles all normal day-by-day operations. Because many efforts of the Committee involve trying to change the law to protect life, the Federal government does not allow general donations to be tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. GRTL, however, being the core operation for pro-life activities in Georgia, is in great need of financial support. Checks should be made payable to Georgia Right to Life Committee, Inc.
2. GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE EDUCATIONAL TRUST FUND (GRTL ETF)
GRTL ETF was founded in 1983 to finance educational projects. Donations are tax deductible and should be made payable to Georgia Right To Life Educational Trust Fund.
3. GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE STATE POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (STATE PAC)
State PAC was established in 1982 to support pro-life candidates running for state office. The IRS does not allow donations to PACs to be deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Checks should be made payable to GRTL Committee State PAC.
4. GEORGIA RIGHT TO LIFE NATIONAL POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (NATIONAL PAC)
National PAC was established in 1983 to support pro-life candidates running for Federal office. The IRS does not allow donations to PACs to be deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Checks should be made payable to GRTL National PAC.
HOW CAN YOU HELP GRTL?
- Fund Raising Events
Organizing yard sales, festivals, walk-a-thons, and competitions can be a fun and easy way to raise money for GRTL.
- Life-Support Pledges
Whether you give $5 or $500, your regular financial support will help build the powerful team needed to defend life. Click here to donate securely online.
- Special Offerings
Many of our individual members, churches, women's, men's, and youth groups, collect an offering in conjunction with special events or pro-life emphasis days. We have planning resources available.
- Memorial or Honorary Gifts
Gifts in the name of another person are appropriate for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, and special pro-life days as well as at times of bereavement. An acknowledgement will be sent to the person or family whom you specify.
GIVING AT WORK
- Combined Federal Campaign
Government employees can mark "National Right To Life ETF" (code #2844) on their Combined Federal Campaign application to have donations withdrawn from their paychecks. GRTL ETF receives a portion of the yearly total.
- Matching Gifts
If your company offers to match donations to a charity of your choice, consider designating Georgia Right to Life. We can help you complete the necessary paper work by you contacting our State Office (770-339-6880).
